Hi, Kelly!
Nice image in the header. If I can help in any way, let me know.
–Jason
Thanks Corey! Let me know if there is anything I can do to help you out!
Kelly,
I wanted to drop you a line and say thanks to you, Marty, Ed, Lisa, Allen and all the others who made this past weekend’s Final Exam/Skill stations for Paramedic Refresher happen. I enjoyed meeting everyone and completing the course. You all showed poise and flexibility under the pressure of inclement weather, and pulled it off. I enjoyed the course itself. It was the first online course I have ever taken, and I think I like training this way. It is as demanding as any conventional course, but allows flexibility for the individual to get it done. I took away a better understanding of older training topics I’d seen before, and new information on topics I’d never been exposed to. I think that having taken the course will make me a better paramedic. Thanks again, and I will be in touch. -Mark
What an awesome idea! Is this a free site or do you need to pay for all your extra features. It’s going to be hard to keep up with you out there in cyberspace. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Melanie…the site is Free (one of my two favorite words…”Free” and “Yes”). Please don’t hesitate to ask if there is ever anything I can do to help!
Hey Man!!! Let me know more info about the hybrid fire course. How to get started and the dates of the practicals? Thanks.
Until He Comes!!!
Hey K-Bo! Go to the link above right that says “Course Schedules” and you will see the firefighter schedules etc.
Hey Kelly, I am enrolled in the hybrid EMT refresher course, the practicals are on the 7 & 8th. I was wondering if I could go ahead and take the 100 question test at the end of module 6 despite the fact that it says take the test at the collage. This would really save me some time due to the fact that I live in Edgecombe county and will have to be back at work with the FD asap on the 8th. Will this be posible.
Thanks, Webb
By the way, I have you guys a patch.
Thanks Jett….but this is a question you will need to discuss with your Instructors in the Context of the Blackboard Course.
Will online con-ed classes continue after April? On the schedule the last one I see is the first week in April.
Yes…I have just not setup those classes yet.
hey mr kelly im so sorry that they made you take the video down i guess ppl just forget the morals on what this country were built on i was down and out one day and watched the video and nothing else could have made my day better after i watched the video but as long as we have him in our heart thats all that counts
Any chance of a Hybrid VMR Rescue Technician?
Hello Robbie…there is always a possibility of new programs. The problem we have is funding. Right now we are planning on finishing the Firefighter courses before we move on to another venue.
K … I signed up for the FF classes when will the other half run?
One more thing… any change in a Bridge after all the sessions are complete will there be anyway to get an Associates Degree in Fire Science?
Kelly I am waiting to take the Paramedic refresher. Can you give me any dates for the class.
I am currently an RN who wants to get my paramedic. I am in the EMT class now. Will the paramedic ever be on -line. I already have my associates in nursing, what are my options for obtaining my paramedic?
I can’t say that the Paramedic will not be online…but right now, we only offer it in the traditional formats. You can attend the curriculum program here (M-F during the day) or you can take the night time program under continuing education. That program meets 2 nights a week from 6-10 and occasional Saturdays….the entire course takes about 13 months.
Look under the links to the right “Refresher FAQ” or “Course Schedules.” All of the information is listed there.
Hey Robbie, We will run the second half of the courses immediately following these courses. As for the Assiciates Degree Program, there is not a bridge program that I am aware of.
We’re Full Steam Ahead!!!
3-12-08: DCCC was given the Blessings of the OSFM and NC Fire Certification Board this morning to pilot the Firefighter I and II program in Hybrid format! Our first course starts next Thursday!

Hi Conia…If you have taken classes recently and already have a BlackBoard login, then I will be able to get you registered. Just call the business office and they will most likely transfer you to me for approval.
